Membership - Who's Eligible to Join

In order to open an account with us your employer, organization, school or church needs to be affiliated with us as a Select Employer Group. If that is not the case then you must be a relative of someone who is already a member. If you are in doubt, visit a branch or call us and we'll be happy to assist you.

You may also open an account by having an affiliation with the Antique Auto Museum at Hershey or the Army Heritage Center Foundation. Certain conditions and/or restrictions may apply. Ask for details.

Are my family members eligible for membership?

Once you become a member and establish your account, your immediate family is eligible to open an account. Immediate family members include: your spouse, child, sibling, parent, grandparent, grandchild, stepparent, stepchild, stepsibling, legal guardian, or someone who has an adoptive relationship with you.

Additionally, anyone who lives in the same residence and represents a single economic unit such as those in a permanent domestic partnership is eligible to join. Fraternities, sororities, apartment or condominium complexes do not qualify.

How much do I have to deposit to Open an Account?

A $5 minimum opening deposit and balance in a Regular Savings Account is required for all account owners. This money remains your money and is not considered a fee.

May I Open an Account Online?

We provide an electronic membership application on this site. If you open your new account in this manner, you may fund your initial opening deposit using a check or you may have the funds transferred from another financial institution.

What's the USA Patriot Act and how does it affect me when I Open my Account?

Since 9/11, federal law requires all financial institutions help the US Government fight the funding of terrorism and money laundering activities. The USA Patriot Act requires all financial institutions to obtain, verify and record information that identifies each person who opens an account.

When you open your account, we are required to obtain information that will properly identify you including but not limited to: your name; mailing and residence address; tax identification number; date of birth; and copy of a government-issued photo ID such as your driver's license.

What do you do with my Identification?

The USA Patriot Act requires us to maintain proof that your identification has been verified. We will keep it on record. Periodically, our member base is checked against a list of known or suspected terrorists. This is done for your personal account protection and for national security purposes.
